calculate the right size for your project​

Dumpster dimensions are usually measured in feet; however, the total volume is measured in cubic yards. To calculate the size of a dumpster multiply its length, width, and height to get its volume in cubic feet.  Next divide that number by 27 to convert to cubic yards. This same formula can be used to calculate the amount of debris you need to remove.

Proper estimation of debris is essential to selecting the right size dumpster.

• Solid Concrete & Asphalt ~ 4000 lbs. per cubic yd.
• Broken Concrete & Asphalt ~ 2000 lbs. per cubic yd.
• Asphalt Shingles ~ 3 lbs. per sq. ft. (60 - 80 lbs. per bundle)
• Drywall (1/2") ~ 2.08 lbs. sq. ft.
• Carpet ~ 0.5 - 2.5 lbs. per sq. ft.
• Tile ~ 4 lbs. per sq. ft.
• Wood Framing (2x4) ~1.28 lbs. per running ft.
